Anahita is an experienced senior consultant with a focus on service improvement and programme management, including within a local authority context.
Anahita has a strong background in monitoring and evaluation and has supported related PPL projects across multiple health and care programmes. This has included an analysis of the NHS Workforce Disability Equality Standard’s annual survey data from 217 NHS Trusts; Health Education England’s Population Health Fellowship Programme; and assessing the impact of applying a complex systems approach in addressing the wider determinants of health through the Local Government Association (LGA)’s “Shaping Places for Healthier Lives” Programme. Most recently, she has managed the planning and delivery of a department-wide transformation and service improvement programme for a large Adult Social Services function.
Prior to joining PPL, Anahita worked with several local and global NGOs in areas including peacebuilding and mediation, child poverty, refugee rehabilitation, and women’s empowerment through in roles leading qualitative research, monitoring and evaluation, and communications and engagement. At university, Anahita specialised in policy development and system-wide change, as well as design, implementation, and evaluation of sexual and reproductive health programmes.
Alongside her professional activities, Anahita is passionate about applying her skills to supporting the voluntary sector. She volunteers her time and skills as the Head of Fundraising for the charity NaariSamata to raise funds for grassroots-led projects supporting the safety and wellbeing of women and children from underprivileged backgrounds across India.
Anahita holds a Master’s degree in International Development & Humanitarian Emergencies with Distinction and a BSc in International Relations, both from the London School of Economics (LSE).
